Joe Biden Selected To Be Obama's VP

Senator Joe Biden Of Delaware Has Been Chosen To Fill The NO.2 Spot On Barack Obama's Ticket. Biden Chairs The Foreign Relation Committee And Served In The Senate For Over Thirty Six Years. Biden Will Knock Out Assumptions That Barack Obama Is Not Experienced. Biden Will Help Obama With Blue Collar Voters. Biden Has Roots In Pennsylvania A State That Obama Must Carry This Fall. Catholic Voters Who Historically Tend To Swing Will Relate To Joe Biden. Joe Biden Like Obama Has A Interesting Background Story He Lost His Wife And Daughter In A Car Crash. He Almost Died Of An Aneurism In 1988. Biden Also Will Help Obama With Media Relations. Good Move Barack Obama!

A Suprise Pick

John McCain Shocked The World Friday By Picking The Female Governor Of Alaska Sara Palin As His Running Mate. Palin Who Only Has Served Less Than Two Years As The Governor Of Alaska And Before That Spent A Few Years As Mayor Of A City That Has 9000 People. The McCain Campaign Believes Palin Could Help Them Gain The Support Of Clinton Voters. I Think Clinton Voters Are Starting To Embrace Obama Following The Convention And Most Of Them Are Hard Core Liberals That Want Even Give A Thought About Voting For McCain. Sara Palin Could Help McCain With Conservatives, Independents, Christians, Church Goers, Voters 35-55 And Possibly In Colorado, Alaska And Ohio. Many Are Wondering If She Is Up To The Job After All She Has Five Kids. Palin Is Two Years Younger than Obama. Since McCain Announced Palin As His VP Online Fundraising Has Increased To 4.5 Million In Just Two Days. To My Surprise She Has Got A Better Response From The Media, Bloggers And Voters.

One Term Only For McCain?

There Has Been Wide Speculation That John McCain Will Announce That If Elected He Would Only Serve One Term. This Week John McCain's Campaign Manager Said He Is Not Ruling Out That Possibility. In 2012 When He Would Be Up For Re-Election He Would Be 76. When Ronald Reagan Left Office After Two Terms He Was 78. According To John McCain's Doctor He Is In Excellent Health. Actually He Has Better Health Than JFK And He Did A Great Job As President. Rumors Have Spread That He Will Announce It At The Convention Which Would Draw Huge Media Attention. I Think This Would Actually Play Good With The Public It Would Reiterate The Point That He Is Not Power Hungry. But What If After Four Years In Office He Wants Another Four? That Could Backfire On Him. Previous Presidential Candidates Such As Mitt Romney Announced They Would Not Accept A Salary As President. Whether Only Serving One Term Or Not Accepting A Salary Is All A Desprate Scheme To Get Your Vote.

The Influence Of Money In Elections

This Election Cycle Will Be Record Breaking. More Money Will Be Raised And Spent.  Already For The Presidential Race Over 1 Billion Dollars Has Been Raised To Date In The Primary And General Election So Far. Democrats Have Significantly Outraised Republicans Even Though More Republicans Ran For President Than The Democrats. There Are A Number Of Records Broken, Including Single Day Fundraising, One Month Fundraising, Overall Cycle Fundraising, And Most Money Spent And Raised In A Primary Season.  Five States Have Exceeded The 25 Million Mark In The Presidential Race. More People Have Donated To Candidates, PACS, 527, And Political Parties. More Money Has Been Spent On Television. The Finance, Insurance, And Real Estate Sectors Have Played A Crucial Role In Both Candidates Fundraising Too. They Have Donated Over 100 Million Dollars.

The Republican National Committee Has Historically Had A Better Fundraising Operation Than The DNC And That Continues This Cycle. To Date Overall Race’s Including, House, Senate, And Presidential Over 3 Billion Has Been Raised.

So, The Real Question Is Can A Candidate Buy Your Vote?  The Answer Might Surprise You. If You Look Back At The Democratic Primary, Barack Obama Outspent Hillary Clinton In Almost Every State, And He Won. In 2004 Bush Outspent Kerry And Bush Won.  So, Yes!  Money Can Buy Your Vote. Almost Every Race To Date Proves That. It Looks Like Obama Will Outspend McCain By A Wide Margin , And He Is  also Polling Ahead. Let’s See If 2008 Proves My Point.

The End Of The Clinton Era?

Going Back Two Years Ago It Was Thought That Hillary Clinton Was A Shoo In For The Democratic Nomination And Eventually The First Women President. Everybody Thought It Was Her Turn. But Now After A Razor Thin Loss For Her Parties Nomination, Is There A Future For Hillary?  The Truth Is That Hillary Did Not Imagine It Being Like This. She Thought She Would Cruise To The White House. But After She Dropped Out, Most Opinion Polls Showed That She Is More Popular Than Ever, And Is Still The Most Powerful Person In Her Party. Half Of The Convention Is Going To Be About The Clintons. There Will Be Appearances And Speeches By Hillary, Chelsea, And Bill. There Will Be Some Of Her Strongest Surrogates Speaking, Such As Ed Rendell.  Obama Is Really Trying To Appease Hillary Clinton Even By Helping Her Pay Off Her Twenty Million Dollar Debt That Was Spent To Smear Obama. But The Real Question Is What Role Will Hillary Clinton Assume In The Next Few Years? There Will Be An Election In The Senate For Majority Leader Next Year Which Is Currently Held By Harry Reid. In 2010 There Will Be An Election For Governor Of NY Which The Office Is Currently Occupied By a Popular Democratic, Governor David Paterson. She Might Want To Sit On The Bench Or Assume The Role Of Attorney General.  Maybe She Wants To Become Secretary Of Health And Human Services? But What She Wants More Than Anything Is To Be The First Female President.  Some Say The Clintons Really Don’t Think Obama Will Win And Are Planning On Running In 2012. But Whatever She Wants To Do, She Will Still Be A Power Player In Her Party.

Biden Or Bayh ?

The Democratic Convention Committee Has Announced That Joe Biden And Evan Bayh Have Been Given The Prime Time Slots That Traditionally The Vice Presidential Candidate Speaks. They Will Both Be Speaking About National Security An Isssue That Obama Lacks Experience On. Both Biden And Bayh Are Said To Be On The Top Of Obama's Shortlist. Biden In My Opinion Would Make A Better Secretary Of State Because Of His Knowledge On Foreighn Relations. Evan Bayh Would Bring More Executive Experience To The Ticket, After All He Served  Two Terms As Governor Of Indiana. He Also Would Help Obama Win Over Working Class Voters Which Make Up A Huge Percentage Of His State Which He Has Been Re-Elected By Wide Margins. Bayh Also Is A Good Public Speaker And Is Charismatic. Bayh Would Help Obama In States Like Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Indiana, West Virginia. Bayh Endorsed Hillary Clinton Early In The Process Which Could Help Obama With Core Clinton Supporters. Bayh Looks Like The Best Choice For The Job.
